By Continuing the imperious, stellar form that he has showcased throughout today’s FonaCAB Ulster Grand Prix qualifying sessions, Peter Hickman once again proved to strong for his fellow competitors in the forty minutes long Supersport qualifying session.
Prior to breaking down at the bottom section of Deer’s Leap, due to low fuel, Hickman piloting the factory supported TROOPER Triumph, recorded a fastest lap time of 3 minutes 27.329 seconds.
Despite his late session misfortune, the 14 times International Road Race winner still finished over 0.6 clear of fellow multi International Roads champion, Ashcourt Racing’s Lee Johnston (3.28.027).
Second fastest Johnston in turn was just over 2.6 seconds quicker than good friend, 2019 Senior TT winner Dean Harrison (3.30.666).
IRRC Superbike series leader Davey Todd (3.31.316) placed fourth fastest, as Milenco by Padgetts team mate Conor Cummins (3.32.382), PreZ Racing’s Jamie Coward (3.32.927) rounded out the six quickest qualifiers.
Completing this afternoon’s ten fastest Supersport class qualifiers were Paul Jordan (3.32.948), Michael Sweeney (3.35.990), Honda Racing’s David Johnson (3.37.119) and DTR (Danny Tomlinson Racing) supported Sam West (3.37.138).
