After a great duel for victory with Derek McGee, Derek Sheils won a compelling 2015 Faugheen 50 Road Races grand final by just 0.368 of a second.
It’s Derek’s fifth win of the 2015 pure road racing season, whilst for Derek McGee second place finish concluded a highly productive days racing in extremely positive style.
Open non championship race winner Brian Mccormack finished an excellent third, on TAG Racing backed CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade.
Tyco BMW’s William Dunlop finished in fourth place, John Walsh was a highly creditable fifth, Seamus Elliott finalised the top six finishers.
Thomas Maxwell was seventh, Noel Carroll eighth, senior support race winner Steve Tobin impressed in finishing in ninth place as John O’Donovan sealed tenth place finish.
It’s been a fantastic 2015 Faugheen 50 Road Races. Brian Mccormack, Derek Sheils, William Dunlop, Derek Mcgee, Neil Kernohan, Seamus Elliott have all secured race victories at one of pure road racing’s most well respected and well liked meetings.
