The BE Racing/RK Racing team left a sun kissed Faugheen on Sunday, happy with their weekend’s work at the latest round of the 2022 Irish Road Race Championships.
Continuing his accomplished post TT form, Cork’s Michael Browne banked a hat-trick of rostrum finishes, two race wins.
Fourth within the Open race, he went onto dominate the 125/Moto 3 encounter, winning by almost forty seconds.
The Supersport Championship race, saw the amiable Irishman embroiled in a captivating duel for honours with fellow Countryman Michael Sweeney.
Ultimately at the race’s conclusion, Browne would take the victory spoils by just 0.089 of a second!
It was roles reversal in the Grand Final as Sweeney took the race win with Browne finishing runner-up.
Reflecting on the weekend’s racing in sweltering hot conditions, Browne stated:
“I am happy with how this weekend went, it was very warm and hard work in the conditions but we had a great day on Sunday.
I out-braked myself in the open race while leading but got back to 4th which I was happy enough about.
The 600 was a class race with Micko and I managed to nick it at the line, another win on the Moto 3 and 2nd in the Grand Final, I am still looking for that big bike win and hopefully it comes soon!”
BE Racing Team Owner John Burrows added:
“I am a very happy team boss after this weekend’s performances from both Jack (Burrows) and Mike, Jack impressed me all weekend, continually getting faster and faster and running and beating British Talent Cup regulars in the Moto 3 class.
The two podiums on Sunday were the icing on the cake and well deserved by Jack. The rest of the team looked after Mike down in Faugheen and he had another great weekend.
Despite a mistake in the open race he bounced back to take the 600 win and Moto 3 followed by a good second in the Grand Final.
I’ll be glad of a weekend off next weekend before preparation starts for Armoy.”
As stated by hugely successful Team Owner Burrows, BE Racing/RK Racing’s next roads outing sees them Armoy bound for the ‘Race of Legends’, as they bid for more tumultuous Irish roads feats.
