By One of the most improved riders in this years road racing season has been Derek Mcgee. Derek competing on a R6 Yamaha and ZX10 Kawasaki has starred at many a road race this season including at the Ulster grand prix.
At the Ulster grand prix Derek competing for the Emerald racing team on a ER6 Kawasaki lead throughout before machine issues stopped him from competing for the win. Derek’s performance at the Walderstown road races was quite superb, winning the supersport race and achieving a 3rd place finish in the grand final race.
Alongside these results Derek has achieved top three finishes at the Tandragee 100 and Cork road races. Derek overall this year finished runner up in the Irish road race supersport championship.
Derek has been one of the riders of the season, looking to the future Derek is aiming to compete eventually at the Isle of Man TT, theres no doubt Derek has the talent and ambition to achieve many a top result at the Isle of Man TT.
