Dean Harrison gave the new R1M Yamaha its first pure road race victory in opening senior race at the 2015 Spring Cup National Road Races.
2014 lightweight TT winner Dean beat the likes of Guy Martin, Lee Johnston, Ivan Lintin and Ryan Farquhar to victory as he produced a top class performance on Mar Train Racing’s R1M Yamaha.
Guy Martin finished in second position 2.5 seconds behind Dean as he showed further good form on superstock Tyco BMW whilst Lee Johnston made it two BMW’s in the top three as he finished in third position.
Ivan Lintin reigning Steve Henshaw international gold cup winner chalked up fourth place finish as he adapts quickly to RC Express racing’s ZX10R Kawasaki superbike.
Ryan Farquhar ended a highly productive days racing with fifth position, completing the top six was James Cowton who produced another determined and accomplished display on Danny Tomlinson racing CBR 1000 Honda Fireblade.
Dan Hegarty concluded his first days racing around Oliver’s Mount in fine style with seventh place finish, Dan was delighted with the result around the road race circuit which already he looks a natural around.
Steve Mercer finished a highly respectable eighth whilst Mick Goodings and Mark Goodings completed the top ten finishers.
