Daley Mathison marked his return to pure road racing action at the Barry Sheene Festival Powered by Suzuki with a top class result.
Piloting Hol Taj backed GSX-R 600 Suzuki Daley was on pole position for opening supersport 600 race.
In wet conditions around the mount the 2014 Aberdare Park Road Races welsh open winner showed his talent, as he held race lead on opening two laps.
From here he kept up consistent good pace to eventually finish the seven lap race in an excellent second position.
This result was made all the more proven given that Daley is still recovering from broken collarbone injury sustained at the Vauxhall International North West 200.
The reigning ultra lightweight Ulster Grand Prix race winner sat out second supersport 600 race on day two of the Barry Sheene Festival Powered by Suzuki.
Daley is set to return to Oliver’s Mount at the popular Cock Of The North Road Racess, he’s all set to compete on GSX-R 600 and GSX-R 1000 Suzuki machinery in superbike, supersport, feature races.
Following the third meet of the season at Oliver’s Mount the rising road racing star is set to return to the world’s fastest road race the Ulster Grand Prix.
In 2014 around Dundrod starred throughout following series of top class performances.
Which included sixth place finish in feature superbike race finishing in front of TT and road racing legend Ian Hutchinson.
He has the speed, pace and talent to secure more quality results at the iconic road race circuit.
