Ryan Farquhar took victory in heat 1 for the 600 supersport bikes with Ivan Lintin in second, both riders on Kawasaki zx-6s got faster as the race went on which was run in superb conditions. In the second heat Dean Harrison took race victory on his Ian Bell Motorcycles Yamaha R6 after a race long scrap with Michael Pearson also on a Yamaha R6. Podium finishers from both of the heats in both races where Dan Frear on his Yamaha R6 and Robert Wilson on the Stoddart racing Kawasaki zx-6. Other standout rides from both of the heats included James Cowton taking fourth place in heat 2 just ahead of James Coward and ahead of TT regulars Ben Wylie, Gary Graves, Simon Fulton and Nuno Caetano.
In the opening super-twins race of the weekend Ryan Farquhar took race victory ahead of his KMR Kawasaki team mate Jamie Hamilton. In the race flyin Ryan as he is known broke the 650 mini-twins lap record for this class around Oliver’s Mount twice as the lap speeds kept getting faster in particular around laps 4, 5 and 6. Conrad Harrison took race victory in the opening sidecar race of the weekend ahead of Greg Lambert in second place.
