CF moto are an ambitious new manufacturer competing on the mountain course. TT 2013 saw CF moto teaming up with Tsingtao racing team who runned David Johnson in lightweight TT. It was the first time a motorcycle from China had competed on the worlds most famous road racing circuit.
Despite retiring from the race David was holding top 20 placing by end of opening lap to prove the potential of CF moto super twin. TT 2014 has seen the manufacturer team up with two time TT winner Gary Johnson.

Following a productive practice which included Gary lapping at over 114 mph expectations where positive going into the lightweight TT that a highly creditable result was on the cards. Unfortunately having crashed in superstock TT Gary was out of action for lightweight TT, Paul Owen competing for the final time at the Isle of Man TT took over the ride as he gained his first experience as a factory rider.

Once again though reliability issues encountered the CF moto super twin which forced Paul to retire from the race, its positive though that another new motorcycle manufacturer wants to compete at the Isle of Man TT, there’s no doubt in the future that the potential is there for CF moto super twin’s to secure podium finishes in the lightweight TT.
