Following captivating free practice sessions, FHO Racing’s Peter Hickman, Honda Racing’s Glenn Irwin have both made it through to the second part of BSB qualifying at Knockhill.
Continuing his strong early season form, world’s fastest road racer Hickman during opening timed practice, registered a best lap time of 47.713 seconds.
Although a touch slower during the second timed practice session, Hickman’s aforementioned lap time still proved more than enough to make the Superpicks 12 second qualifying selection.
Overall ninth quickest from this morning, afternoon’s competition, four times North West 200 winner Glenn Irwin finished just 0.011 down on the pace set by respected, fellow International roads exponent Hickman.
The modern era International roads stars next timed outings at Knockhill, is scheduled to take place from 2:15 PM as British Superbikes qualifying takes centre stage.
