Part four of Road Racing News Barry Sheene Classic preview series, transfixes itself today on the three-wheeling fraternity.
Out of luck at the Cock O’The North, Team A.R.C’s Lee Crawford/Scott Hardie will be aiming to reassert their authority.
Piloting for the first time at Oliver’s Mount, a newly acquired CES (Christie Engineering Services) built outfit, Crawford/Hardie not only have designs on increasing their already enviable Scarborough race wins total but also on Nick Crowe/Mark Cox’s long-term existing Sidecars lap record.
Dominant earlier this month during the aforementioned Cock O’The North, Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden will once again be strong contenders for honours.
Outside of the Ramsdens, Crawford/Hardie, lots of focus will also be on 17 times TT winner Dave Molyneux.
Joined for the upcoming weekends racing by Scarborough debutant Justin Sharp, the TT legend and his 890cc KTM powered outfit is not to be underestimated.
Mount regulars Shaun Chandler/Ben Chandler (White Rose Racing), sole Yamaha powered competitors Carl Fenwick/Ashley Moore (CR Fenwick Commercials Ltd) can’t be discounted either from attaining first-rate results.
Remaining entrants on modern time F2 tackle are Bruce Moore/Amy Dodd (RDC Motorsport), David Marshal/Tony Pitt.
Chris Schofield/Tom Dawkins, Mark Saunders/Rian Saunders (SDG Access) and newcomer driver James Saunders/Sarah Stokoe (Homechoice Flooring Specialists Leeds).
Classic Sidecars wise, the battle for class spoils is between Tickhill’s Adam Holden/James Salsbury (Bahder Engineering) and Adam Pope/John Christopher (Ramsden Racing).
