Beverley teenager Arnie Carr enjoyed a landmark first-ever BSB Junior Sportbike Championship, podium finish at Thruxton, finishing third.
The 14-year-old #33 rider competes for ATP Motorsport team onboard a Kawasaki ZX4RR and produced a breakthrough result at the BSB/Support series weekend to secure his first appearance on the Junior Sportbike podium.
Arnie’s achievement arises during his first season in the Championship and is particularly notable given his age and lack of circuit experience.
Having only turned fourteen in June, Arne was unable to sample the opening two Championship rounds and joined the series at Knockhill for Round Three. He is also the youngest rider in the Championship, meaning every circuit he has raced at this season has been new to him.
Despite starting two rounds behind his rivals and learning each circuit from scratch, Arnie has progressed to 12th in the Championship standings.
The Thruxton result fillip represents a significant milestone for the young Beverley rider and provides a major confidence boost heading into the final round of the 2026 season.
Arnie now heads to Donington Park for the season finale, where he will look to build on his first podium and finish his campaign strongly.
