Aberdare Park: Sunday Afternoon Races Details

Already touched upon in my previous article, Barnsley’s Andy Smart, is the new outright Aberdare Park Road Races lap-record holder, ending Dan Cooper’s near ten-year reign as quickest racer at Wales only active real roads circuit.

Sunday’s 12-lap Supersport final was the race, were Smart gained record lap-time spoils, lapping on route to race victory, at 38.481 seconds.

Smart had looked in prominent shape to make it five wins in a day, in the meetings’ final race, the Invitation contest, before late race challenges allowed 2022, 2024 Welsh Open winner Ryan Dixon to take on the line, P1 glory by only 0.065 of a second.

William Holland flew to Super Twin Final laurels whilst Adam Shelton, successfully completed a quadruple of CB 500 race conquests.

Competitors joining Holland, Shelton, Smart, Dixon in this afternoon’s, Aberdare Park winners circle, were:
