By Expanding his all-time Oliver’s Mount race wins CV to 115, Dean Harrison (Honda Racing UK) racked up Supersport (A) encounter conquest number three.
In contrast to Saturday’s Supersport outings, Harrison had much sterner opposition in Sunday’s SSP curtain raiser.
Peter Hickman (Swan Racing/PHR Performance – Triumph) gained the hole-shot and would maintain first till Drury’s Hairpin on lap four, when Harrison found a way through.
The Bradford racer now based in Ballaugh on the Isle of Man, once first, briskly got the hammer down, opening before lap five’s arrival, an advantage stretching past 1.3 seconds.
2.846 clear as the eighth, final lap popped up, Harrison ultimately finished P1 by 3.447 over respected rival Hickman.
Mikey Browne (Boyce Precision Engineering/Russell Racing – Yamaha) chalked up third, Classic Superbike contests hat-trick hero Tom Weeden netted fourth.
Davey Todd’s accomplished racing comeback, continued, finishing fifth, Joey Thompson (TH Racing – Honda) eclipsed Rob Hodson (P7 – SMT Racing – Ducati), Johnny Stewart (P8), Dan Frear (P9) for sixth.
