Almost twenty years since his first Scarborough racing venture, Dean Harrison (Honda Racing UK) took the Feature Visit North Yorkshire Gold Cup crown for a fourth time.
Joining Barry Sheene on four Gold Cup titles, Harrison presented post-race with the original Scarborough Gold Cup trophy, from pole controlled the eight-lap encounter held in challenging, mixed conditions to win by 4.6 seconds (4.609 to be exact).
Reigning Gold Cup Champion, new King of The Roads Championship leader Mikey Browne (Boyce Precision Engineering/Russell Racing – Yamaha) was second with Peter Hickman third after resisting Rob Hodson and his rasping SMT Racing Ducati.
Manx GP history maker Johnny Stewart attained fifth with Ryan Dixon (TH Racing – Honda), Tom Weeden (Club 77 – Triumph), 2026 Oliver’s Mount Super Twins Champion Joey Thompson (TH Racing – Honda), TT Privateers Champion Barry Furber (Robinson and Sons Timber – Triumph), Joey Lambden capturing fifth to tenth place results.
This weekend’s standout Scarborough newcomer Rocket Racing’s Rhys Stephenson was a respectable eleventh.
