Seppe Noel, mastered damp, tricky conditions to win the opening IRRC Sportbike race at Circuit de Chimay.
Noel finished 17.124 seconds in front of leading full-time IRRC Sportbike exponent, Wally Jacobs, who increased his Championship lead over third place finisher Jamie Williams, to twenty-five points.
There were no race retirements with all nine race competitors (Yannik Jacops, Mike Ceuppens, Rob Van Eijs – non-starters) reaching the seven-lap contest’s conclusion.

BeNeLux Trophy/ESR Superbike Race 1 :
Exemplifying his wet weather racing prowess, Laurent Hoffmann won a tense 1000cc races curtain raiser.
The ninth, final race lap was when the twice IRRC Supersport Champion, grabbed P1 ownership off top BeNeLux Trophy pilot Yan Ancia.
At the finish-line, Hoffmann’s winning verdict over Ancia, neared one second (0.941 to be exact).
2023 IRRC Superbike Champion Lukas Maurer netted third whilst Mountain Course lap-record holder Peter Hickman, concluded his maiden Chimay racing endeavours in seventh place.
