Moving onto forty-one IRRC affiliated race wins, Marek Cerveny (WRP Wepol Racing – Triumph), resisted Never Be Clever Racing’s inspired Kevin De Haan for opening Chimay Supersport race spoils.
Pushed hard by Dutch ace De Haan, Cerveny maintained his composure to finish the nine-lap encounter, held in changeable conditions triumphant by 0.715 of a second.
Petr Najman (Festa Tools by Najmanmotorsport – Triumph) was a safe third, 8.723 clear of BeNeLux Supersport Race One winner Ilja Caljouw (Performance Racing Achterhoek – Yamaha).
‘AKA Driver’ Gary Johnson (Team Schleizer Dreieck – Suzuki) took fifth, finishing below 0.1 behind Caljouw.
Matej Vit (TME Racing – Triumph), Mauro Poncini (Performance Racing Achterhoek – Yamaha) sixth, seventh, were respectively only 0.242, 0.310 in arrears to twice TT winner Johnson.
