Team Schleizer Dreieck’s Gary Johnson added Open Supersport/Superstock 600, ESR Supersport Race Two glories to his wins from yesterday, to make it an Imatranajo victories quadruple.
Same as Saturday’s SSP thrillers, Sunday’s middleweight class action enthralled the passionate-trackside crowd as Johnson, Juho Kantola, Rasmus Nurmi, duked it out for P1 finishes.
Winner by 0.026 of a second over Kantola in the Open SSP/SSTK 600 encounter, the following ESR Supersport contest, would see ‘AKA Driver’s experience tell-again, with 0.731 separating the race’s top three (Nurmi P2 +0.203, Kantola P3 +0.731).
Interviewed post-race (shown on King of The Roads live broadcast), twice TT winner Johnson (main article image from IRRC Hengelo last year) when asked how he would celebrate triumphs x4 at Imatra, stated, “I’m going to drink a lot!”
