Tom Weeden made it a ‘Six-Pack,’ six contest triumphs this weekend, following Barry Sheene Classic Feature Race victory at North Yorkshire’s iconic, illustrious ‘Mini TT,’ Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough.
Showing the same immense form, he has projected across the past two days, GSXR 750 Suzuki apparated Weeden, dominated the six-lap showpiece encounter, finishing victorious by 8.595, almost 8.6 seconds.
Behind first time Oliver’s Mount ‘Major’ winner Weeden, local favourite Paul Marley (Marley Landrovers – ZXR Kawasaki) looked poised to finish second, only for Redcar’s Curtis Milburn to have other ideas and clinch a fine P2 result.
Johnny Stewart, aboard his Pepsi Suzuki liveried yesteryear Superbike, was under 0.3 adrift of Marley in third whilst another Scarborough specialist Mick Goodings, fared strongly, finishing fifth.
Solo riders representative Roddy Taylor was sixth whilst P7 to P10 positions went respectively to Lee Brocklebank, Steve Birtles, Greg Haylott and Paul Moir.
Brandon Brinded (P11), Richard Hewitt (P12) were the two remaining contest finishers.
Classic SBK Race Three winner, Team York Suzuki’s Joey Thompson was a non-starter whilst competitors on the race retirements list were Jack Worth and Kristian Didelot.
