Round three of this season’s BeNeLux Trophy, post Croix-En-Ternois, Hengelo-Varsselring (previously planned Mettet round, was-not held last month) arose during 8 Hours of Spa Motos racing weekend, commencing before the endurance contest.
A strong array of pure roads experienced riders participated, including the first ever IRRC Sportbike race winner, IOM ace, JLG/NCE Racing’s Jamie Williams (P20 in overall SBK/SSP Race Two classification, P2 in Supersport category), debuting next generation GSX-R 750 Suzuki SSP bike.
Plus, podium finishers last month at Hengelo, Yan Ancia, Sander Claessen and Jaimy Deleersnyder.
The next BeNeLux Trophy round is-hosted by Carole Circuit (20th-21st June), more pertinent though for road racing aficionados is when the series graces Circuit de Chimay (25th-26th July), joining ESR/IRRC/Belgian Twin Trophy races at ‘Open Trophy’ meeting.
Belgium’s leading active road race circuit, celebrating this season its 100th Anniversary (first established in 1926), hosts this week the premiere of ‘4EVO Young Trophy’ inter-twined with next IRRC Championship (Supersport/Sportbike) rounds.
