2026 Sidecar Festival Oschersleben: Roads Competitor Watch

Incorporating final 2026 Sidecars World Championship, Northern Sidecar Cup, International Sidecar Trophy and Camathias Cup rounds, the Sidecar Festival extravaganza thrust into prominence last week at Motorsport Arena Oschersleben in Germany.

It was the place to be for lovers of three-wheeling and-also a farewell to 2026 Sidecars racing action in central Europe. Next week sees the British Championship season finale at Brands Hatch, part of the BSB showdown itinerary take place (16th-18th October).

Back to this article’s main topic, the Oschersleben Sidecar Festival, double victory in World Championship races went to TT experienced, Anglo/British pair, Team #45-Steinhausen Racing’s Harry Payne/Kevin Rousseau.

They were-crowned 2026 World Champions, their second title winning in 2024, celebrating again in typical style, by wearing pink-wigs. The weekend before, Payne/Rousseau additionally became French national Champions during FSBK Finale at Magny-Cours.

Reigning Champions, Beverley aces Sam Christie/Tom Christie (podium finishes x2) ended Championship runner-up whilst third overall were Finnish legend Pekka Paivarinta (lap-record holder plus most winning driver at Imatranajo) and UK passenger Adam Christie.

Extra roads scene experienced names circulating around Oschersleben included:

Hilbert Talens/Felix Pinkert (Northern Sidecar Cup 1000cc class Champions), Yoann Gillard/Laura Ecorchard (Northern Sidecar Cup F2 category Champions).

Raymond Leijdekkers/Calvin Leijdekkers (Northern Sidecar Cup F600 Champions), German TT pilot Mike Roscher/Anna Burkhard (International Sidecar Trophy 1000 cc Champions).

Enrico Wirth/Ondrej Sedlacek (International Sidecar Trophy 600 cc Champions), Scott Lawrie/Kenny Roegiers (Camathias Cup Over 750 cc Champions) and Marvin Vermeulen/Troy Klinker (Camathias Cup Up To 750 cc Champions).

Every Sidecars team deserves great-respect, and it is good to mention again, that the chairs will be back on IOM shores for TT 2027.

We end this article with top news for Schleizer Dreieck superfans, Germany’s oldest racetrack (inaugural competition year – 1923) is-expected to host World Sidecar Championship rounds next year (announced this week by MSC Schleizer Dreieck) albeit 2027 series rounds are still to be 100 percent confirmed.
