By Zooming to consecutive Supersport victories at Belgium’s present-day, pure road racing utopia, Circuit De Chimay, Adam McLean made it three successive hauls of 25 Championship points.
McLean’s latest IRRC (International Road Racing Championship) affiliated race glory sees him narrow, Petr Najman’s Championship lead, to only five points.
Najman (Laserscanning Europe by PSB Motorsport – Yamaha) finished the second 600cc race exploration (reduced to six laps), held in inclement conditions, P2, 15.17 seconds down on Supersport title rival McLean.
Twice Manx Grand Prix Darryl Tweed third, recorded his first IRRC podium finish, gave suitors Never Be Clever Racing one of their brightest moments to date in Europe’s premier roads scene series.
Sebastian Frotscher checked into fourth, Team Schleizer Dreieck team-mate Gary Johnson obtained fifth behind Matej Vit (TME Racing – Triumph).
Kevin Mos (Mobu Tuning – Kawasaki), Mauro Poncini (Delmo Racing – Yamaha), Wesley Ankersmid (Performance Racing Achterhoek – Yamaha) collected seventh to ninth place finishes whilst Marek Cerveny’s quest for six IRRC Supersport titles, took a blow, dropping to tenth from third on the grid.
