P12 from Monday’s RST X D3O Superbike TT race, Amalric Blanc, set a new personal best lap, 17 minutes 43.300 seconds (127.742 mph), strengthening his position as France’s fastest Mountain Course pilot.
38 years of age, hailing from Feurs in France, Blanc is also the Chanaz Hill Climb, track record holder (1.06.661 – set in 2021).
Last week, the 1.1 miles long course, positioned on the Mont Lanard public road at Savoy Alps hosted the 54th edition of this reputable hill-climb, the second round of this season’s ‘Championnat de France de la Montagne’.
Main star of this year’s race was Steven Bellavoine (P1 Superbike, P2 Supersport time-trials at Chanaz), well-known from his IRRC Superbike starts as permanent rider in 2023,2024 seasons.
The next ‘Championnat de France de la Montagne’ round will be at Marchaux (14th-15th June), it means the same dates as third round of European Hill Climb Road Race Championship at Julbach, Austria (with Maurizio Bottalico in start-list, P27 from Superbike Race – TT 2025).
