TT 2025, post-race reactions edition two.
Monster Energy Supersport Race Two:
Dean Harrison – post making it 34 TT rostrum finishes.
“Honestly, I’m happy with that, I felt today Michael’s bike was very strong, so, I feel that’s the best we could do which is a bad way of thinking really, to a certain point.
But am happy with that, I had a bit of problem again on lap two, with a bit of a leak, managing my position back to second.
I lost a little of time on one of the laps and then I sort of put the hammer down, I stretched the lead to second back out again, so just managed that.
So felt comfortable been able to do it, which is good, then just managed it from there, just brought her home in second, great to get Honda another podium, four podium finishes this week, one third, two seconds and a win, so it’s not been a bad week really, we’ll keep trying, two more races to go.”
When asked if he feels he is circulating the best he ever has, around the Mountain Course, he said:
“I feel like I’m riding good to be honest, everywhere I’ve been this year, I’ve rode quite well, hopefully it will continue.”
Davey Todd – chatting about giving Padgetts Racing, their first TT podium finish since the Senior race of 2022.
“Stoked with that, don’t think we could have asked for a whole lot more in the Supersport race, tried my best with the little 600, was riding it pretty-hard out there.
Lost our rear brake on the first lap, which wasn’t ideal I’d have liked to have taken it to Dean a little bit more and to be top 600.
I’m stoked to get on the podium, after finishing fourth, I was pretty-mad the other day, the boy’s deserved a little bit better than that, so I worked hard and pushed on and managed to stick it on the podium.”
“There’s no one I don’t believe any more passionate in this paddock than Clive Padgett, I love the passion in him, it’s something that’s so important to me, I’m super passionate about what I do and so is Clive.
So, to work with someone like Clive is always a pleasure and to see how much it means to him to be in that winners’ enclosure again, is something cool.”
Michael Dunlop – the now 32 times TT winner, stated the following when asked, how his Dunlop tyres fared on middleweight class apparatus, in comparison to on Superbike tackle.
“It’s different tyres, different types of tyres, same manufacturer tyre but obviously different power ratios, so that changes things up a little bit.”
I then gained ‘Maverick’s thoughts on whether he ever has time to stop and think, regarding his unmatched TT wins/podium finishes record.
“Haven’t got time to think nor the brain capacity to think! so, I batter on, keep taking every day as it comes.”
