Third, fourth from BSB Donington Park (Grand Prix circuit configuration) SBK races one and three, the second big-bike encounter in between held over twelve laps, saw Hager PBM Ducati’s Glenn Irwin collect a gutsy race win, after keeping at bay the attentions of fellow BSB title fighters, current Champion Tommy Bridewell and Kyle Ryde.
With increased points on offer at Brands Hatch (season finale – 11th-13th October), Irwin the NW200 Superbike wins record-holder, 46 points-gap to new Championship leader, OMG Racing Yamaha’s Ryde (featured above) whilst moderately lengthy, is not in surmountable.
Fellow Triangle course ‘King Pin’ Davey Todd will also be going into Brands with a sharp title shot, as he bids for a second National Superstock 1000 Championship title.
At Donington, the 2024 Senior TT winner obtained a brace of second place finishes behind Milenco by Padgetts Luke Mossey.
Todd’s latest podium finishing runs have seen him move into an eleven-point Championship lead over BSB bound in 2025, Joe Talbot (new OMG Racing signing).
2019 IRRC Superbike Champion, Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ lap record holder Todd is also expected to return to the BSB riding fold next year.
