70th Scarborough Gold Cup: Event Schedule

Pending all going to plan, Friday morning sees competitive action back at England’s only real roads circuit, Oliver’s Mount.

Practice, qualifying sessions take centre stage on Friday whilst Saturday’s schedule includes 14 races.

Sunday’s competition features the eight lap Steve Henshaw Gold Cup, last won in 2020 by Ashcourt Racing’s Lee Johnston.

Standout entrants for the 70th Gold Cup meeting include National Superstock 1000 Championship leader, Armoy lap record holder Davey Todd (Milenco by Padgetts), Classic Superbike Manx GP winner Rob Hodson (Dafabet Racing).

Triple Irish Road Race Superbike Champion Derek Sheils (Greenall Racing), 2019 Duke Road Race Rankings Champion Michael Sweeney, Cookstown Supersport lap record holder Adam McLean.

Joey Thompson, the father, son duo of Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden and 12 times TT winners the Birchall brothers Ben & Tom.
