By Amongst various standout performers at the 31st Greymouth Street Races who banked multiple victories, included prominent MV Agusta machinery exponent Seth Devereux.
Wanaka’s Devereux claimed three successive feature Formula 1 class race wins, each time getting the better of plucky lead chaser Dale Finch.
Devereux also proved formidable in the Bears class, taking a brace of wins ahead of Bears Race 1, Formula 3 Race 3 victor Jonny Lewis.

Aside from Devereux, Lewis others to excel throughout Sunday’s competitive action included Invercargill’s Chris McMeeken who took the victory spoils in the Pre 89 Classics races plus also went unbeaten on Post Classic Pre 82 spec machinery.
Dan Jenkins, Vince Burrell, Gary Wells, Andrew Rudd respectively went unbeaten in the Buckets, Post Classic Pre 72, Classics Pre 63 and Super Motard classes.
Nick Hay banked a Formula 2 Supersport double whilst the final 600’s battle went to twice Formula 3 class conqueror, Christchurch’s Chris Huddlestone.
Overall a top-class day of roads competition at Greymouth, which has celebrated in style despite the obvious pre-event difficulties and good old unpredictable weather, it’s 31st anniversary of the meet which is more than worthy of being regarded alongside the Cemetery Circuit Races, as one of New Zealand’s premier roads events.
Attention now within the New Zealand roads scene turns to the prestigious Cemetery Circuit Races, which reminder takes place as per tradition on the 26th of December, Boxing Day.
