19 times International road race winner Guy Martin has achieved over the past ten years, countless UK, European, World records with vehicles ranging from his Ford Transit to a hovercraft to a tandem cycle.
His latest record breaking ambition is two wheel related, with the eight times Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup winner aiming to nudge past the magical 300 mph mark with his idiosyncratic Hayabusa Suzuki steed.
Back in September, the Kirmington racer at Elvington set a new record UK speed (over a standing mile) of 270.965 mph.

Martin now has his sights firmly set on becoming the first rider to go in excess of 300 mph, over a standing mile.
A huge fan of speed, new challenges, breaking down perceived impossible barriers, it wouldn’t at all be a surprise to see the 11 times Ulster GP victor achieve this goal.
It’s also worth pointing out in this article that Martin is presently the fastest Triumph motorcycle pilot on Planet Earth!
Having in 2016 at Bonneville Salt Flats registered a best speed of 441.3 kilometres per hour, which equates in overall speed terms to a scarcely believable 274.2 mph.
