Rain, rain, rain, rain go away was I’m sure a phrase on the minds of those at Horice today for qualifying sessions.
Despite the inclement weather, slippy, damp, cold conditions, those competing this morning, this afternoon put on quite the show for the hardy fans attending.
The majority, of pole positions per class were obtained during the second qualifying expeditions.
In terms of four-stroke classes, the battle to head the Supersport field was won by Petr Najman, lapping sub 2 minutes 35 seconds (2:34.911).
IRRC Supersport Championship leader Marek Cerveny was 2.774 down on Najman’s pace whilst third quickest overall was 53 plate carrier Wolfgang Schuster.
Najman, Cerveny would also prove the top qualifiers within the Super Twins field, separated by only 0.621 of a second.
Sole UK/IOM entrant, JLG/NCE Racing’s Jamie Williams finished eighth fastest, 5.142 seconds off the pace.
Outright lap record holder David Datzer unlocked pole-position for tomorrow’s 12-lap Superbike race, recording a times sheet topping time of 2 minutes 30.702 seconds.
Second to sixth quickest from the ultimately red-flagged SBK Q2 behind Datzer, who will lead CD Racing’s TT 2024 voyage were Jiri Petrla, Timo Schonhals, Karel Pesek, Marek Stibor, and Manx GP newcomer last year, Andreas Jochum.
Moritz Nestler, Zbynek Prochazka shared Supermono, Supersport 400 qualifying successes whilst racers not showcased yet, to acquire 300 Curves of Gustav Havel race pole positions, are as follows:
