Following opening timed qualifying sessions, the race for respective class pole positions heated-up in this afternoon’s timed qualifying stints at the Czech Republic’s most acclaimed roads course, Horice.
Before the Superbikes took centre stage overall qualifying victories were acquired by the following:

Once the big bikes took to the unrelenting just over 5 kilometres long Horice course at 4:31 PM UK time, the knowledgeable trackside crowds were keeping close tabs on Q1 pace setter David Datzer.
10 minutes into Q2, former Newcomers A Manx GP winner Kamil Holan had surpassed Datzer’s previous best lap time, lapping at 2 minutes 16.911 seconds.
With just minutes of Q2 to run, Datzer piloting the Penz 13 BMW he will race at the TT, found an extra injection of speed to take pole position, registering a lap time of 2 minutes 16.490 seconds, which gave him an advantage of 0.421 over previous provisional pole sitter Holan.
Finishing third quickest behind Datzer, Holan was Finland’s top pure road racer Erno Kostamo (2.18.256).
Didier Grams (2.18.655), Laurent Hoffmann (2.18.963), Karel Pesek (2.20.126) placed respectively fourth, fifth, sixth fastest.
