The Automotodrom Brno (3.357 miles long circuit) first opened in 1987 when it replaced the old Grand Prix street-circuit, was host last week for the ‘Spring Prize of Brno’, which returned after a years’ absence due to new tarmac implemented last season before Moto GP ventures back after five years away.
Prepping for upcoming IRRC Supersport season opener at Hengelo, three top Czech road racers were competing, six times IRRC Champion Marek Cerveny (Super Twins winner x2/podium finisher in SSP races), Petr Najman (Supermono winner x2, races intertwined with Super Twins) and Matej Vit.
Organised by Dymokury Road Races organisers the ‘Road Racing Club,’ the Spring Prize also featured:
Sportbike TT seed Michal ‘Indi’ Dokoupil piloting his resplendent, new blue CF Moto liveried, Indi Racing bike, Wonder Women Racing’s Veronika Hankocyova.
Stare Mesto entrants, 2024 IRRC SBK Champion David ‘Datziii’ Datzer (P8 – Super Twins Race 1 –Race 2 did not finish – best lap time – 2.13.830) and former IRRC SBK rider Nico Muller (Superbike Race 1 – non-starter – Race 2 P9 – best lap time 2.08.708).
Slovakia’s only Northwest 200 racer in history, NW200 bound again next week, KRS Racing’s ZX10-RR Kawasaki vaulted Emil Krchnavy (Superbike Race 1 – non-starter – Race 2 – did not finish – best lap time – 2.14.562).
