Current World Superbike venue, the Czech Autodrom Most track (4219 metres/2.622 miles long in distance – first originated in 1983), hosted the third round of this year’s ‘Euro Moto’ Championship (previously known as IDM).
Interesting event stories were for instance the first official test in Euro Moto racing mode for KTM’s 990 RC R model (potentially World Supersport steed next year), rode by German ex-Moto GP rider Jonas Folger.
Secondly, the extreme weather conditions (temperatures around forty degrees!), that proved challenging particularly for double Superbike race winner Lukas Tulovic (leg burns due to red-hot engine of Ducati mount).
Roads scene contemporaries participating included IRRC race winners Jef Van Calster (2024 BeNeLux Supersport Champion, former SSP lap record holder at Frohburg, main article image focused), Marvin Siebdrath and Thijs Peeters, who only started Friday’s Superstock 1000 free practice stint, afterwards he left Most following unsolvable, technical gremlins with his BMW.
Plus, rapid Frohburger Dreieck (2026 IRRC finale here – 19th-20th September) pilots in recent years, like Macau Grand Prix podium finisher Sheridan Morais (another former SSP Frohburg lap record carrier, swiftest overall is newcomer last year, Jackson Racing Powered by Prosper2’s Paul Jordan). Freddie Heinrich and Swiss rider Jan Buchel, in the saddle of KB 998 Rimini Bimota exotica.
The next Euro Moto round at Oschersleben (31st July-2nd August) coincides with the Mid Antrim 150, Aberdare Park Road Races, 45th edition of Nepomuk Classic in the Czech Republic and 29th Zschorlauer Dreieck Classic Grand Prix in Germany.
