2025 Prize of Krizevci – ‘Croatian Monte Carlo’ Preview/Schedule

The 2025 edition of Croatia’s ‘Nagrada Krizevaca’ (translated as ‘Prize of Krizevci’ abroad), nicknamed ‘Croatian Monte Carlo’ (‘Gornji Grad’ street circuit length – 0.932 miles/1500 metres) is here.

Winners last year at this iconic Croatia street race, included Luka Nervo (Superstock 1000), Karlo Grsic (Superstock 600), Josip Jacmenjak (Supersport 300) and Mislav Perkusic (Sport Production 125).

Local hero, the prior spotlighted Luka Nervo, set during qualifying, an unofficial all-time lap-record (48.136), 1000cc lap-record (49.124) in race conditions but the official lap record holder of Krizevci, remains Loris Majcan (48.849 with 600cc bike in 2023).

It’s pertinent to remember, that this idol of Croatian road racing fans, is the Monster Energy People’s Challenger Award winner from TT 2025, the fastest TT exponent for his home nation, setting in this month’s Opul Superstock race, a new personal best lap speed (set on lap one – 121.340 mph).

Our next point of interest, covers interesting newcomers from France, tackling the 2024 Prize of Krizevci, namely Morgan Govignon (Manx GP/TT experienced racer) and Thibaud Doutre.

Previously mentioned Karlo Grsic, is a young talented rider from Krizevci, who competed in last weekend’s Alpe Adria Championship races in Hungary (Pannonia-Ring) aside another youngster, Teo Sekulic from Slavonski Brod.

In addition to the Prize of Krizevci, another Croatian road race arises later this year, Sveti Ivan Zelina (31st August). The ‘Brod Open’ races are currently missing for the 2025 season.

It’s overall, an upcoming super-weekend for road racing aficionados with the Cock O’The North at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough and traditional road racer’s adventures with two airport races, Dolny Hricov – Zilina in Slovakia and Flugplatzrennen Waldurn in Germany plus BSB at Snetterton, IDM with World Sidecars at Czech Autodrom Most and various other events.
