The first of back-to-back Chimay racing weekends, the 31st edition of Chimay Classic Bikes is loading (18th-20th July) before the fifteenth Chimay Open Trophy (26th-27th July).
Whilst we wait for expected announcement of IRRC start-lists for the Chimay Open Trophy weekend, we can display today, the provisional Belgian Twin Trophy start-list.
Counting towards the Open Belgian Championship BTT (Super Twin/Stock Twin 650) classes, the newly established RST-RRC series (European Super Twin Road Race Challenge), nine-lap contests await those ready to compete.
Forty-one racers in total, from seven different nations have placed entries in, including young Belgian talent Sasha De Vits, who travels to Chimay as current EST-RRC leader (collected full fifty Championship points after Hengelo-Varsselring race explorations), ten points in front of JLG/NCE Racing’s Jamie Williams.
As previously reported, Williams will be the number one-plate holder, for Supersport/Senior Manx Grand Prix races in August. Current leader of BeNeLux Trophy Supersport series leader, the final three Championship rounds take place at Circuit De Chimay plus permanent racing circuits at Carole and Assen.
A notable Chimay Super Twin races newcomer will be Melton Mowbray’s Dan Ingham, the 2024 Mylchreests Group Senior Manx Grand Prix winner, riding the Castings Technology RS 660 Aprilia.
If you want to know more information about the Belgian Twin Trophy, especially about EST-RRC, please follow Belgian Twin Trophy websites or visit the BTT truck/tent in the Chimay paddock and chat to Jacques Borremans, the rider and organiser who provided us with the provisional start-list, issued below.
