2024 Southern 100: Qualifying/Races Timetable

Only hours, hours now till Billown is serenaded by the distinctive tones of four-stroke, three-wheeling tackle.

Southern 100 competition opens tomorrow evening, with opening timed qualifying sessions.

Fifteen races are intended to take place including of course, the coveted Solo Championship, won most recently by Senior TT winner, Milwaukee BMW’s Davey Todd.

Alongside National Superstock 1000 Championship leader Todd, lots of focus over upcoming days will also transcend upon 25 times S100 victor Dean Harrison, TT wins record holder Michael Dunlop, the Crowe brothers, Ryan & Callum.

FHO Racing’s Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley, Ben Birchall/Kevin Rousseau, Tim Reeves/Mark Wilkes, new member of the prestigious ‘130 Mph TT Club’ Michael Browne, Dominic Herbertson and KTS Racing Powered by Steadplan’s Jamie Coward.

The full, present practice/qualifying/races timetable for this year’s Southern 100, which marks 69 years since the ‘Friendly Races’, first held closed roads competition, reads as follows:

8th July:

6:05 PM – Roads close
6:18-6:25 PM – Newcomers practice
6:26-6:40 PM – 1100cc first qualifying
6:47-7:01 PM – Lightweight first qualifying
7:29-7:43 PM – Supersport first qualifying – White plated pilots

7:50-8:04 PM – Supersport second qualifying – Yellow plated pilots
8:11-8:25 PM – 1100cc second qualifying
8:32-8:46 PM – Lightweight second qualifying
8:53-9:10 PM – Sidecars first qualifying

9th July:

6:05 PM – Roads close
6:18-6:30 PM – Solo non qualifiers qualifying
6:37-6:49 PM – Supersport second qualifying – White plated pilots
6:56-7:08 PM – Supersport second qualifying – Yellow plated pilots

7:15-7:32 PM – Sidecars second qualifying
8:00 PM – Senior Race – 7 laps
8:35 PM – Lightweight Race – 6 laps

10th July:

6:05 PM – Roads close
6:25 PM – Senior Race – 7 laps
7:05 PM – Supersport B Race – 7 laps
7:40 PM – Supersport A Race – 7 laps
8:30 PM – Sidecars Race – 6 laps

11th July:

9:30 AM – Roads close
9:50 AM – Supersport B Race – 7 laps
10:30 AM – Supersport A Race – 7 laps
11:10 AM – Solo Founders Race – 6 laps
11:40 AM – Senior Race – 7 laps
12:15 PM – Lightweight Consolation Race – 6 laps

1:30 PM – Roads re-close
1:50 PM – Supersport Challenge Race – 7 laps
2:30 PM – Lightweight Race – 6 laps
3:20 PM – Solo Championship Race – 9 laps
4:00 PM – Sidecar Championship Race – 8 laps

8:30 PM – Awards presentation
