Thrills, excitement, intense competition, TT style action, impeccable weather, an otherworldly backdrop, North America’s newest pure road race, it could only be, Baja International Tourist Cup time.
The event won for the past two years by Obsession Engineering’s Eric Wilson, was won this week by another experienced Mountain Course exponent, California’s Wade Boyd.
R1 Yamaha powered, Boyd’s best time on route to becoming Baja conqueror for 2023, was 5 minutes 17 seconds, 34 seconds shy of the above featured, Wilson’s existing lap record.
Second best overall behind Boyd was fellow American, Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ newcomer in July, Eric Lindauer.
Top Mexican participant Xavier Zazueta took third whilst Middleweight, Ultra Lightweight class successes went to Randall Barker and Matt Young.
