19 riders are set to take part in the six round 2018 IRRC Supersport series, following the unveiling today of the full entry for the middleweight class within the International Road Racing Championship.
With reigning champion Joey Den Besten stepping up to the Superbike class, many are tipping nearest challengers last year to the Dutchman, One Racing Team’s Pierre Yves Bian and Team Schleizer Dreieck’s Thomas Walther as title favourites.

Both remaining YZF R6 Yamaha mounted for this season, a further ten riders are set to pilot Yamaha’s iconic steed at a selection of Europe’s most famous roads courses, including Performance Racing Achterhoek’s Ilja Caljouw, LSE Racing’s Christian Schmitz and the versatile Kamil Holan.
Kawasaki’s challenge is headed by the likes of former champion Laurent Hoffmann (Delaur Road Racing Belgium) and the improving Lukas Maurer, whilst Suzuki also enjoy representation via France’s Quentin Limousin plus perennial rostrum contender last year, Team MR 32’s Jochen Rotter.
Outside of Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki, the only other marque that is represented within the 19 rider entry, the Switzerland based Suter brand courtesy of roads stalwart Henrik Voit, who’s set to pilot one of the manufacturers Moto 2 machines.
