2017 Southern 100 Boasts 280 Plus Entry

This years Southern 100, will boast an overall entry of in excess of 280 competitors!

It’s sheer proof of the draw that the Castletown based meeting, has for riders, drivers and passengers.

With the ultra high amount of entrants, event organisers, have decided to add two more races to the race schedule, this now means 16 races, are set to take place at Billown in July.

The blue riband Solo Championship, is set to take place over nine laps. Still to be confirmed entrants include reigning champion Michael Dunlop, and Guy Martin, who was non committal at TT 2017, when asked whether he would race the CBR 1000RR SP2 Fireblade Honda, at the Southern.

Confirmed pure roads stars returning to Billown, include lap record holder Silicone Engineering Racing’s Dean Harrison, Radcliffe’s Racing’s Jamie Coward, McAdoo Kawasaki’s James Cowton and Dafabet Devitt Racing’s Ivan Lintin.

Sidecar greats set to compete include the Birchall brothers Ben and Tom, Tim Reeves, John Holden/Lee Cain and Manx TT legends, Dave Molyneux/Dan Sayle.

Reminder the 2017 Southern 100 takes place from the 10th to the 13th, of July.
