19 Times TT Champion Dunlop Set For Cookstown Enterprise

19 times TT winner Michael Dunlop is set to sample the KDM Hire Cookstown 100, for the first time in three years.

In supreme form at the Armoy Road Races, you’d be brave to not place him as one of the prime favourites for multiple victories next month.

As at Armoy, the Ballymoney roads great will pilot top range machinery including his own teams MD Racing YZF R6 Yamaha.

Ten times a Cookstown race victor, his most recent triumph at Irish road racing’s longest running national road race arose in 2018, winning a thrilling opening Supersport contest.

There’s no doubt that the addition of a rider of his calibre to the entry, is a huge boost for Cookstown 100 organisers.

Alongside outright Orritor Circuit lap record holder Dunlop, this year’s Cookstown field is also confirmed to feature BE Racing In Conjunction with Richardson Kelly Racing’s Michael Browne and McAdoo Kawasaki’s Adam McLean.

Reminder the 2021 KDM Hire Cookstown 100, which originally before changes were made by Oliver’s Mount Racing organisers was clashing with the Scarborough Gold Cup, takes place from the 10th-11th September.
