As we near the conclusion of online voting to decide what’s the top road race of 2021, we at Road Racing News are giving you the public the chance to also determine who is the no.1 pure road racer from the past season.

We’ve selected ten possible racer of the year contenders to choose from, they are as follows:

* IRRC Superbike Championship winner Didier Grams

* IRRC Supersport Championship winner Pierre Yves Bian

* IRRC Superbike Championship runner-up Lukas Maurer

* The dominant force at Aberdare Park, Armoy ‘Race of Legends’ runner-up Davey Todd

* Cookstown Open A race winner Michael Browne

* New Cookstown Supersport lap record holder Adam McLean

* Third within this year’s IRRC Superbike Championship, Joey Den Besten

* IRRC Supersport Championship runner-up Ilja Caljouw

* FIM European Hill Climb Superbike Champion Stefano Bonetti

* First time IRRC race winner David Datzer

We’d like to add that if you notice certain high profile racers missing from the list of aforementioned, this is because to be eligible for Road Racing News pure road racer of the year title, competitors have to have taken part in at least two roads meetings in the same year.
