Wayne Humble Happy With Form Following Spring Cup Endeavours

Wayne Humble was happy with his form at the Spring Cup National Road Races, as he participated in his first roads meeting since sustaining injuries on the final lap of last years Junior Manx Grand Prix.

Having battled back to fitness through the winter, Wayne was delighted with his pace in Supersport qualifying at Oliver’s Mount on Saturday, finishing seventh quickest on his YZF R6 Yamaha, in front of many a fellow rising roads star.

Results wise the Spring Cup yielded him 11th and 13th place finishes in the Junior A races, plus a very creditable 10th in the opening leg of the Solo Open A encounters.

Reflecting on his return to real roads action, Wayne stated:

“Well back from the first road race of the year at Oliver’s mount had a mint weekend.

Still adapting myself to the bike since my injury but felt quite comfortable qualified 7th for both Junior A final and open A final with some proper fast lads behind so was well chuffed with that.

Races didn’t go to plan to be honest need to be a bit more aggressive on the first lap but the pace was there always room for improvement but pretty solid weekend.

Really Can’t wait to get back, just like to say a massive thank you to Tony Angus Charlton for all his help this season and was great to see you again mate and to Lee Robinson for his continued support and also my team the boys Smokey, Jasper, Philly and uncle Michael.

And all our sponsors, Michelin, Langley Insurance Agents, Merlin sidecars, KRG motorcycles, JR Humble & sons LTD and Tyre recovery and everyone I’ve forgot thanks again #39.”
