William Dunlop won todays superbike race at the Walderstown road races. William competing on the Milwaukee Yamaha superbike won by 0.9 of a second from second place finisher Derek Mcgee who rode superbly on his ZX10 Kawasaki whilst Derek Shiels produced another top ride to finish in third place on the CD racing ZX10 Kawasaki.
Jamie Hamilton on the KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall superstock bike came home in fourth place in front of Michael Sweeney who finished in a fine fifth place on the Mick Jones racing R6 Yamaha. Michael Pearson, John Walsh, William Davison, Alan Connor and Alan Bonner completed the top 10. Alan Kenny on the Moira motorcycle club R6 Yamaha finished in a good 11th place in a superbike race that brought William Dunlop a new lap record with a speed of 106.2 mph on the Milwaukee Yamaha R1 superbike.
