Vauxhall international North west 200 preview – part 1

 

This years Vauxhall international North west 200 looks like being one of the best North west 200’s for many years. Leading the entry for the superbike races at the North west 200 is the Honda TT legends racing team which consists of John Mcguinness, Michael Dunlop and Michael Rutter.

 

John Mcguinness more known for his results at the Isle of Man TT has also recorded many a top result at the North west 200 including last year winning the opening superbike race. Meanwhile Michael Rutter will be looking for another North west 200 win having taken victory in the superstock race last year Michael will be looking for North west 200 win number 12.

 

Everyone will be keen to see how Michael Dunlop does on the Honda TT legends racing superbike at this years North west 200. So far this season Michael has won both superbike races at the Cookstown 100 alongside setting a new lap record. The whole Honda TT legends racing team at this years North west 200 is very strong and will be very hard to beat.

 

The Wilson Craig racing team will be looking for more North west 200 wins this year having won the opening supersport race with William Dunlop on-board in 2012. Cameron Donald leads the teams entry into the North west 200 superbike races this year and will be aiming for to achieve his first North west 200 win.

 

Bruce Anstey has won many times around the North west 200 circuit and will be looking for another race win this year and in particular in the superbike races when competing on the Padgetts racing Honda superbike.

 

One of the big stories ahead of this years North west 200 has been the story that Josh Brookes is making his North west 200 debut this year. Josh is set to compete on the Tyco Suzuki by TAS machines and will be aiming to have a top debut around the iconic road race circuit.

 

Team mate to Josh in the Tyco Suzuki by TAS team is Guy Martin. Guy who’s yet to win at the North west 200 has been runner-up twice in superbike races at the North west 200 in 2007 and in 2008.

Guy of course is looking to win this year and if he does it will be one of the most popular wins at this years North west 200.
