Ulster Grand Prix 2013 – Supersport Races Preview

This years supersport races at the Ulster grand prix has a high quality entry list which includes Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph and MV Agusta machinery all being entered.

Honda’s entry is lead by Michael Dunlop. Michael won both supersport races at this years Isle of Man TT and is in great form, Michael will be confident of adding wins number 7 and 8 at this years Ulster grand prix in the supersport races.

Bruce Anstey has a great record at the Ulster grand prix and is without a shadow of doubt one of the favourites for this years supersport races. Bruce is competing for the Padgetts racing team and has this season recorded podium finishes at the North west 200 and Isle of Man TT when competing on the teams CBR 600 Honda supersport bike.

Cameron Donald is back competing at the Ulster grand prix for the first time since 2011, Cameron is competing for the Wilson Craig racing team. Having achieved many a podium in recent seasons at the international road races in the supersport 600 class, Cameron will be confident of achieving top results in the supersport races at this years Ulster grand prix.

Guy Martin has had a consistent season in the supersport 600 class at the international road races. Guy will be aiming for more podium finishes at this yeas Ulster grand prix when competing on the GSX-R 600 Suzuki run by the Tyco Suzuki by TAS team.

Milwaukee Yamaha has a strong presence for the supersport races at the 2013 Ulster grand prix. William Dunlop will be highly confident of taking wins in both supersport races having this season won the supersport 600 races at Skerries road races and Armoy road races whilst also achieving a podium finish in the opening supersport race at this years Isle of Man TT.

Team mate to William, Conor Cummins is not known for securing top results in the supersport 600 races but Conor has a good record at the Ulster grand prix and will be aiming to secure top results in the supersport races.

KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall rider Jamie Hamilton is confident coming into the supersport races at the Ulster grand prix of securing a good result having most recently won the 600 race at the Mid Antrim 150 road races.

One of the most unique bikes to compete at this years Ulster grand prix is the Valmoto MV Agusta supersport bike. Competing on board the MV Agusta will be TT winner Gary Johnson. The MV Agusta is a bike which has good potential, this was proven at this years Isle of Man TT where Gary Johnson secured a top 10 finish.

Top Ulster grand prix newcomer in 2012 Dan Cooper is back for this years event and is confident of securing a podium finish in the supersport races when competing on a 675 Daytona Triumph backed by Centurion racing.

Winner in the supersport 600 class at the Southern 100 and cock of the north road races, Dean Harrison is a rider more than capable of securing podium finishes and potentially a race win in the 2013 Ulster grand prix supersport races.  Dean is competing for the Ian Bell motorcycles team on a R6 Yamaha supersport bike.

It’s Ian Lougher last Ulster grand prix this year and Ian will be looking to go out on a high by securing a top result in the supersport races when competing for the WA Corless joinery/Jackson racing team on a CBR 600 Honda.

Russ Mountford, Dan Kneen, Davy Morgan, Shaun Anderson, Michael Sweeney, Derek Shiels, William Davison, Ben Wylie, Derek Mcgee, Ivan Lintin are all entered in the supersport races at this years Ulster grand prix. Proving just how high the quality of the entry list is.
