Ulster Grand Prix 2013 – Super Twins Race Preview

KMR Kawasaki powered by Vauxhall rider Jamie Hamilton leads the entry list for the super twins race at this years Ulster grand prix. Jamie has had a great season in the super twins class which has included race wins at the Southern 100, Cookstown 100, Skerries road races and Armoy road races.

At last years Ulster grand prix Jamie finished on the podium in the super twins race and will be aiming for the top step of the podium this year. Podium finisher alongside Jamie at last years Ulster grand prix, Russ Mountford is back for this years super twins race competing for the Northpoint racing team on a ER6 Kawasaki.

Russ has had a good season competing in the super twins class which has included top 6 finishes at the Southern 100 and a top 12 finish in this years lightweight TT race.

This years Ulster grand prix is set to be the last time Ian Lougher will compete at the Ulster grand prix. Ian announced his retirement from road racing at this years Isle of Man TT, but before Ian retires he will be aiming for more top results including in the super twins race at this years Ulster grand prix where Ian is competing on a ER6 Kawasaki backed by CMS racing.

One of the favourites for this years super twins race at the Ulster grand prix is Ivan Lintin. Ivan is set to compete on the Tigcraft backed ER6 Kawasaki which Ivan rode at this years Southern 100 finishing runner-up in the second super twins race.

Plus at the cock of the north road races at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough Ivan won both super twins races, plus Ivan set a new lap record for the super twins class. WK bikes made their road racing debut at this years Isle of Man TT competing in the lightweight TT race, the WK bikes team is back in action for this years Ulster grand prix.

Competing for the team is TT winner Gary Johnson. Gary in practice at this years Isle of Man TT lapped at over 108 mph proving that the bike has potential to secure top results on road race circuits and in particular at this years Ulster grand prix.

Also competing on a WK bikes super twin is John Walsh. John is competing for the Mckinstry racing team on a WK bikes super twin and will be aiming for a consistent result.

Rising road racing stars Shaun Anderson, Ben Wylie, Mark Hanna and William Davison all have the potential to secure top results in the super twins race at this years Ulster grand prix.

This years super twins Ulster grand prix race has a quality entry through and through and the entry for this years race also includes Michal Dokoupil, Davy Morgan, Maria Costello MBE, Nigel Moore, Dave Walsh and Mark Parrett. In all a top super twins race is in prospect at this years Ulster grand prix.
