Announced just before Christmas festivities, Ballymoney’s Darryl Tweed has joined new road race outfit, Parker Transport Racing for the 2023 season.
The ‘Tommy Club’ member’s deal with Gerry Parker’s team, will see him race YZF R6 Yamaha machinery at the bulk of Irish national road races plus the North West 200 and Supersport races at the TT.
A twice Manx GP winner, there’s no doubting Tweed’s turn of speed, talent and it wouldn’t at all be a surprise if he makes quite the impression during his prospective, maiden TT tenure next year.
Speaking via Facebook about linking up with the Parker Transport squad, he stated:
“Over the moon to announce that I will be riding for Gerry Parker next year, really can’t wait to get back at it.
Can’t thank Gerry enough for putting a competitive bike below me again so I can show what I can do. Roll on 2023.”
