French road racing royalty will descend upon the TT Races this year, as twice IRRC Supersport Champion Matthieu Lagrive makes his TT debut.
Four times World Endurance Champion, Lagrive’s impressive racing CV also features a World Supersport podium finish, World Superbike top ten finishes, multiple Bol d’Or victories, Le Mans 24 hours podium finishes.
In 2018, Lagrive competing for Wepol Racing, tackled the roads for the first time, sampling the International Road Racing Championship.
Going onto claim Supersport title honours, he retained the middleweight class title in 2019.
The road racing bug has grown sufficiently to the point, that the fabled, mythical Mountain Course, TT Races beckons with Optimark Road Racing.
Also set to compete at the North West 200, Lagrive recently stated via the TT Races official website:
“I won the [IRRC] Supersport Championship in 2018 and 2019 and that’s where I started thinking about coming to the TT.
I have no targets and it will take me some years to see how quick I can go.”
