TT 2026 Chat: Isle of Wight Ace Ryan Whitehall

Back on Tuesday in scorching weather, Road Racing News caught up with Isle of Wight ace Ryan Whitehall.

Third in last year’s Supersport Manx Grand Prix, the ‘Tommy Club’ member has stepped up to TT rider ranks, piloting an ex Jim Hind GSXR 1000 Suzuki and North Lincs Components R6 Yamaha.

Reflecting on his final event in the run to TT 2026, the Briggs Equipment Northwest 200, WR Racing’s Whitehall said:

“It was pretty-good, I think people know my attitude on how that place is-run but in terms of the racing it was good to be there and get a-few laps in.

All the issues we had there, I would rather have them there than first lap of practice here, be stuck halfway around the circuit.”

Setting sights on matching his best lap speed astride Supersport apparatus, from the 2025 Manx GP, Whitehall who unofficially recorded a new quickest Mountain Course lap-speed yesterday (122.655), stated:

“If I can do what I did on the 600 at the Manx last year, so 120-mph, would be happy with that, anything more than that for me, would be a bonus.

The big bike is a-lot faster but its’s a bit more work to hustle about.”

Our conversation moved onto pending event projects, after TT 2026.

Targeting competitive action at all remaining Irish road races, he said:

“Every single one I can get to.”

Always jovial, check out his humorous, entertaining vlogs on You Tube, they candidly document his roads scene adventures.
