Faultless, flawless, without blemish, I could expand and expand, the words to sum up the Crowes Ryan & Callum TT 2024 campaign.
Dominant in both 3wheeling.media Sidecar races, the Manx team emulated their five times TT winning dad Nick Crowe.
The second Sidecars contest on the fabled, mythical Mountain Course saw the Crowes join the ‘120 Mph Club’ (new personal best – 120.335 mph), becoming just the third crew to top the coveted lap mark.
Reflecting on the last two weeks of competitive action, passenger Callum Crowe stated to Road Racing News:
“It’s been great, we couldn’t ask for a better TT 2024 for us, team has worked hard all year round and especially these last two weeks, it’s been non-stop, been very busy.”
When asked what his first emotions were post sealing last Saturday alongside brother Ryan, a first TT victory, he said:
“Tears and goals and hard work paying off but race two meant more to me to be honest with you because it had that No.1 bike (Ben Birchall/Kevin Rousseau) in there, so that meant more.”
Planning to tackle as a wildcard the World Sidecars round at Assen in August, the Crowe Racing squad’s plans for the remainder of 2024 also include a few BSB rounds, competition in Germany but not the Southern 100, at which they are outright lap record holders.
Speaking of record breaking pace, I asked C.Crowe about breaking the Sidecar TT lap record in the future. His response was that it’s just a bonus.
“People can take that record from you, but they can’t take TT wins away from you, so a lap record if it comes, it comes, it’s just a bonus that is.”
