By Ulster Grand Prix winners, former Irish Road Race Supersport Champions CD (Chris Dowd) Racing will return this month to real road racing, Mountain Course affiliated competition, running Germany’s fastest TT exponent David Datzer.
2022 Macau GP runner-up, established IRRC front-runner Datzer, new deal sees him astride a latest specification CBR1000RR-R SP Fireblade Honda for the Superbike, Superstock, Senior races.
Commenting recently about the switch to Honda power, the new tie-up with CD Racing, who have previously worked with roads scene heroes including the late great William Dunlop, three times TT winner Adrian Archibald, ‘Datzii’ stated:
“A completely new motorcycle for me but one of the fastest bikes in recent years. I’m looking forward to the challenge and will try to further expand my goal!
