Not long post Superbike, Superstock qualifying finalising, it was announced that oil had been dropped by Mark Goodings at the bottom of Barregarrow.
A delay to Supersport/Super Twins qualifying ensued, as the oil problem was dealt with.
Unfortunately for Supersport, Super Twins exponents, the aforementioned issues required longer time meaning their session was cancelled.
Fortunes were brighter for the three-wheeling community.
A two-lap Sidecar session commenced at 8:25 PM with the Birchalls Ben & Tom first down Bray Hill.
The 12 times TT winners standing start lap, yielded a lap speed of nigh on 117 mph, lap time of 19:22.631 seconds.
Fast forward to the flying lap and the Honda powered crew were in scintillating form, recording their fastest ever TT practice week lap speed of 118.316 mph, equating timing wise to 19:08.006 seconds.
Rapidest yesterday, FHO Racing’s Pete Founds/Jevan Walmsley (116.11) finished second quickest whilst Tim Reeves/Mark Wilkes (112.338) put aside problems on Monday to finish third fastest.
Two more crews exceeded the 110-mph lap barrier, Steve Ramsden/Matty Ramsden (110.236) and fellow experienced TT campaigners Gary Bryan/Phil Hyde (110.146).
Wrapping up tonight’s ten quickest driver/passenger partnerships were Barnes Racing backed John Holden/Maxime Vasseur (107.922), Greg Lambert/Andrew Haynes (106.747).
Daryl Gibson/Tom Christie (106.012), John Saunders/James Saunders (105.857) and Mike Jackson/Jake Roberts (102.343).
